Amazon’s streaming service also gives you lyrics.

Amazon Prime Music might not be as widely used as Spotify or Apple Music, but it’s got a solid user base of Amazon Prime subscribers. Those in the UK can now make use of a feature that’s been available to US customers for 10 months now: Prime Stations.

Much like similar stations operated by Apple Music and Spotify, Amazon’s effort takes the form of ad-free playlists based around stations and genres. Giving each tracks a thumbs up or down will help the algorithm to adjust to your tastes.

Prime Stations come with another feature missing for UK users: X-Ray Lyrics, which allows listeners to sing along with (or read) a track’s lyrics as it plays. Spotify users have been able to do all of this and more for a while, but if you’ve got an Amazon Prime subscription it might encourage you to stream music with it now and again.

Despite Amazon’s new features, Spotify is still one up on its rival. Earlier this month the company partnered up with Genius to add context to its in-app lyrics.
