The multi-room system finally rolls out support for Apple’s streaming service.
If you’re a subscriber to Apple Music and a Sonos owner, good news: the streaming service is now compatible with the multi-room speaker system.
Sonos uses its own controller app to stream music to its family of devices wirelessly, acting as a hub for everything from SoundCloud to iTunes, but only works with supported services and websites – of which Apple Music has been a notable holdout.
Following a public beta that launched in December, Sonos will finally roll out support for Apple Music to its users today (February 10). To set it up, find “Add Music Services” in the Sonos controller app, and select your Apple Music subscription.
Sonos has been a success thanks to early integration with Spotify, but the company is wise to add Apple Music support – last month it was confirmed to have reached 10 million paid subscribers. [via 9to5Mac]
