International festival spun out of control on first night leading to five deaths.

The BBC reports that five people have died and another five are in critical condition after the first night of the Time Warp festival in Argentina.

According to the medical team on the ground, the victims, aged 21 to 25, are suspected of having suffered acute poisoning.

The event seemed to spin out of control during its first night with crowds telling local news channel TN they “couldn’t stay inside” and “it was too hot and there were too many people.”

The promoters have cancelled the second night of the event and issued a statement via their website expressing their condolences and asking for time to determine what happened.
