After deleting most of their web presence, Radiohead finally return with our first glimpse at LP9.

We now know where the mysterious bird Radiohead posted over the weekend comes from – a video for their eagerly anticipated new single ‘Burn the Witch’. The clip is essentially a Trumpton version of The Wicker Man and while it has no revealing details of what is to come next, conspiracy theories are abound.

Last month, someone related to band’s management said the album should arrive in June and it’s “like nothing you’ve ever heard.” If ‘Burn the Witch’ is any evidence, this should be an event.

The clip was directed by Chris Hopewell, who worked with the band on their video for Hail To The Thief lead single ‘There There’. The track is to be released digitally at 00:01 on Wednesday May 4 with details about the group’s upcoming ninth album expected to soon follow. Check out the track’s artwork below:
