A pair of recent concert recordings will raise money for local non-profit Progress NC.

Animal Collective are the latest artists to contribute to the pro-LGBTQ response to North Carolina’s discriminatory HB2 bill by releasing a pair of live albums.

The albums capture recent Los Angeles and Manchester shows and comes after last night’s concert in Asheville, NC. The band released a statement explaining their decision to not cancel, as artists including Bruce Springsteen have.

“We felt that canceling our show, like many others have done in protest of this law, would be a disappointment to our fans and decided to go on with the performance,” they wrote before adding that they “do not condone or agree with any type of bigotry or discrimination.”

Both concerts can be streamed through Animal Collective’s Bandcamp page and purchased with all proceeds going to Progress NC, a non-profit “dedicated to being a voice for forward-thinking North Carolinians who want to protect the balanced approach to government”.

Stream both live recordings below and revisit our recent interview with Animal Collective.
