Drake has scored the longest running UK number one single of the past twenty years with ‘One Dance’, his hit song from Views featuring Wizkid and a sample from UK funky diva Kyla.

With 12 weeks at the top of the singles chart ‘One Dance’ has now overtaken Rihanna’s ‘Umbrella’, which spent 10 weeks there in 2007. Drake is now in the top five of artists with the longest running singles in the UK, including Queen (‘Bohemian Rhapsody’), Wet Wet Wet (‘Love Is All Around’), Bryan Adams (‘(Everything I Do) I Do It For You’), and Frankie Lane (‘I Believe’). A couple weeks ago, ‘One Dance’ got another boost when a dubplate version helped Brooklyn-based label Mixpak win the latest Red Bull Culture Clash event.

It’s been a good year for the Toronto rapper. In May, Drake became the most streamed artist ever on Spotify with 3,185,045,281 streams and ‘One Dance’ became his first solo number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
