After announcing her fifth album AIM, M.I.A. unveils its first single.

M.I.A. links with Skrillex and Blaqstarr for her latest ‘Go Off’. While it’s mostly a subdued affair, the hook – which is just a repeated refrain of “go off on them” – is the kind of meditative kiss-off we’ve grown to expect from the London-via-Sri Lanka artist.

The track was premiered on Annie Mac’s BBC 1 show earlier today (July 14). Speaking to Mac, M.I.A. hinted that the record is full of collaborations and says that it’s “happy” with “no complaints” on it. “There’s another side to me completey,” she said. “I don’t know if people know that.”

Check out the track below and read its lyrics over at Genius, where they premiered. AIM is out September 9.

Update: M.I.A. has shared the video for ‘Go Off’.
