Kanye is keen to add furniture design to his portfolio.

IKEA has responded to Kanye West’s recent comments that he would like to design furniture for them.

Speaking to Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1 last night (August 1), West – who in June inked a long-term deal with Adidas to create a line of activewear and stores strictly dedicated to his Yeezy line -confirmed that he would like to work with IKEA next. The Life of Pablo artist had previously tweeted about his desire to collaborate with the Swedish company following a visit to the store’s HQ back in March.

“I have to work with IKEA—make furniture for interior design, for architecture and I know that if I do a minimalist apartment inside of a college dorm where the TV goes on the side of the wall,” he said. “Yo IKEA, allow Kanye to create, allow him to make this thing because you know what, I want a bed that he makes, I want a chair that he makes—I want more products from Ye.”

In response, IKEA Australia posted a design mock-up of the Kanye/IKEA collaboration to its Facebook page today, accompanied by the caption: “Hej Kanye, we’d love to see what you’d create… we could make you Famous!”

In the same interview, West also admitted to “messing up” his Glastonbury 2015 set, saying that it put him in “depressed state,” while announcing that he hasn’t abandoned his plans to run for president in 2020.
