From the same composer/director team behind next year’s Blade Runner sequel.

While fans have been so focused on composer Jóhann Jóhannsson and filmmaker Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming Bladerunner sequel, they may not have realized the pair have a critically acclaimed sci-fi film hitting theaters in a few weeks.

The, Arrival stars Amy Adams, Jeremy Renner and Forest Whitaker as a group studying a mysterious spacecraft that lands on Earth just as the planet edges towards a new world war. The film marks the third collaboration between Jóhannsson and Villeneuve following last year’s Sicario and 2013’s Prisoners.

Today you can hear ‘Kangaru’ from Jóhannsson which, with its sweeping horns and intimate vocalizations, is a far leap from Sicario’s droning, doom-filled score.

Listen to it below and look for Arrival in theaters November 11.
