For the next edition of Adult Swim’s singles series, Metro Boomin has stepped up with a new instrumental equal parts sparkling and sinister.

‘Forever Young’ is built around snapping, minimal drum beats and a twinkling chord progression that would have sounded at home on a Future mixtape. In fact, listen close and you can hear the rapper murmur a sign-off at the very end. It’s a hopeful moment for fans of both, since we’ve yet to hear a proper Future release since EVOL.
