The video was recorded in France in August 2015.
Behind-the-scenes video has emerged of Radiohead artist Stanley Donwood painting one of the many versions of the A Moon Shaped Pool artwork, while the band play in the background.
The video, which was uploaded to YouTube account CitizenInsane, dates back to August 2015 and was recorded in the south of France during the band’s recording sessions for their ninth album.
Donwood has provided the artwork for all of Radiohead’s records since 1994’s My Iron Lung EP, often complementing the band’s political themes in his imagery.
The video shows Donwood’s studio to be full of different versions of the artwork, at least one of which appeared on Radiohead’s Instagram following the release of the LP. Thom Yorke’s voice can be heard in the background.
Radiohead themselves will be touring in 2017 in support of A Moon Shaped Pool, with a headline slot at Glastonbury alongside dates in the UK, Sweden, Italy, Denmark, Poland, France and other European countries. [via NME]
