The experimental duo return with their first proper album since 2012’s Elemental.

British two-piece Demdike Stare have released Wonderland, the eagerly awaited new album that follows the killer Testpressing series which kicked off in 2013.

The duo’s last album was 2012’s Elemental, and the new full-length eschews their earlier darkness, instead following the thread of dancefloor destruction they perfected on the Testpressing 12″s.

Wonderland is out on 2xLP now via Modern Love, with a bumper 3xCD package set to land on December 2. The CD package will include the whole Testpressing series as a bonus on the extra two discs.

Crate digger Sean Canty and veteran producer Miles Whittaker have been recording under the Demdike Stare moniker since 2009, hopping from the occult-influenced weirdness of early releases Symbiosis and Elemental to the repurposed hardcore and grime stylings of their more recent productions.

Wonderland is the duo’s most dancefloor focused album to date, exploring fractured house on standout track ‘Hardnoise’, splattery techno on opener ‘Curzon’ and crunchy jungle on ‘Sourcer’, which you can hear in full below.

You can purchase Wonderland now on 2LP from Boomkat.
