They join previously announced performers Radiohead as the festival’s other main stage acts.

Glastonbury’s headline acts for 2017 have reportedly been uncovered by The Sun, with a source telling the publication that Ed Sheeran and Foo Fighters will top next year’s Worthy Farm bill.

“Michael is delighted to get Ed signed up,” said the source, who noted that Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis and his daughter Emily were “desperate” to get Sheeran to perform. The singer-songwriter will take to the Pyramid stage on the Saturday night, sandwiched in between Radiohead and Foo Fighters.

In October, Glastonbury confirmed Radiohead as the festival’s first headline act, while last month rumours began circulating about Daft Punk returning to tour for the first time in a decade after a Reddit user discovered a dedicated Daft Punk page on the Lollapalooza website. At one point it was hoped that the duo could headline Glastonbury but Emily Eavis later denied the rumours in an interview with NME.
