Is album number four about to drop?
Kendrick Lamar has shared a cryptic Instagram post this morning (March 23), which fans are already speculating could be a reference to his new album.
Lamar has deleted every post from his account, save for one image containing the Roman numeral four – presumbably a nod to his fourth release. The Compton rapper’s debut album landed in 2011, with Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City following in 2012 and To Pimp A Butterfly in 2015.
Earlier this month, Lamar revealed that he had been working on a “very urgent” new album about “how wayward things have gone.”
“To Pimp a Butterfly was addressing the problem,” Lamar said in an interview with The New York Times style magazine T. “I’m in a space now where I’m not addressing the problem anymore. We’re in a time where we exclude one major component out of this whole thing called life: God. Nobody speaks on it because it’s almost in conflict with what’s going on in the world when you talk about politics and government and the system.”
