Tim Exile takes us inside the giant sound of his SLOO synth

Hands on with one of the year’s most exciting synths.

Tim Exile has made several great software instruments over the years, but his latest – a synth based around the idea of a swarm of up to 48 oscillators – is his best yet.

SLOO (which stands for “shed load of oscillators”) is able to create sounds for all situations, whether you need an orchestral sweep or a simple bassline. After hearing about the project we decided we had to visit Exile to check it out for ourselves.

At his home in London, Exile showed us how SLOO works as well as treating us to a live jam using the unique synth. Watch below, and buy SLOO from his webstore.
