Rhythm wizards to share a stage.

Jeff Mills and Tony Allen will perform live at famed Paris jazz club New Morning on December 14.

The techno originator will be joined on stage by the legendary Afrobeat drummer for an hour-long live jam, reports RA. Allen has dipped his toes into techno before, joining the Moritz Von Oswald Trio on 2015’s Sounding Lines, and last year he also joined forces with French disco luminary Cerrone for the Afro EP.

Tickets go on sale on November 8, and capacity is limited to 450.

Meanwhile, Mills is preparing for a residency at London’s Barbican in 2017, performing four different shows including an “electronic cine-mix” set to a screening of Richard Fleischer’s 1966 sci-fi epic Fantastic Voyage.

Earlier this year he was presented with the Spirit of Detroit award with several fellow techno innovators including Carl Craig, Juan Atkins and Underground Resistance, and he also launched an audiophile offshoot of Axis Records to put out records “mastered for high-fidelity sounds”.
