The 34-year-old song gets an airing.

Following Prince’s death in April, a vault of unreleased music was discovered at his Paisley Park home that last month reportedly went on sale for $35 million. The untapped contents of that vault have now started to materialise, including a track first recorded during the sessions for the late artist’s 1982 album 1999.

‘Moonbeam Levels’, a driving piano and guitar ballad stretched out over warm keys and booming drums, is featured on new 40-track greatest his album Prince 4Ever, which is out now, and is the only song on the compilation to not have been officially released over the years.

The track is currently only available to stream via Tidal despite Prince’s estate having recently filed a federal lawsuit against the Jay-Z owned service – but was premiered live at a special listening party on ABC News yesterday (November 22) in New York. Listen at the 45-second mark below.
