For FACT TV’s latest episode, we got our fades tightened with one of the UK’s finest.
Sinden has been at the forefront of dance music for the best part of the last decade, collaborating regularly with Switch / Solid Groove, Herve (as Count and Sinden) and M.I.A. Recently, Sinden relocated to Los Angeles, where he’s been balancing running his record label Grizzly (recent releases have come from Brenmar, Mele and Distal) with trying to carve out a long-term career as a behind the boards producer – he’s recently been in the studio with up-and-coming hip-hop artists like G-Side and Jesse Boykins III, and similar collaborations are on the way.
We caught up with Sinden at Soho barbershop We Are Cuts to talk adjusting to life in LA, the difficulties of breaking into the hip-hop world and more. Sinden’s new single, ‘Keep it 1000’, is out later this month.
