A bold claim, sure, but we’re prepared to stick with it.

Korn may be enjoying a renaissance due to Jonathan Davis’s burgeoning solo career as an EDM bandwagon jumper, and The Black Eyed Peas have committed more monstrosities to tape in their career, but for sheer obnoxious trash, nobody peddles more pathetic fare at a more popular level than LMFAO – plus, you know, just look at them.

Good news came this weekend however: the duo of Redfoo – the son of Motown mogul Berry Gordy, lest we forget – and SkyBlu have ceased operation, for the time being. In an interview with Australian news, Redfoo stated that “I feel like we’ve been doing this for so long, five or six years. And we’re kind of like saying, well, let’s just do what’s natural and just kind of explore that, instead of like forcing it.”

A rep for LMFAO, meanwhile, has emphasised that this isn’t designed to be a permanent break-up, but at least we’re promised a little peace and quiet, even if it is temporary. Sure, the solo careers might spawn, but they can’t be worse than what’s come before.

LMFAO’s biggest hit, ‘Party Rock Anthem’ is embedded below. Don’t watch it.
