Certified weirdo and Butthole Surfer Gibby Haynes is the latest artist to join Jack White’s hallowed Third Man Records‘ Blue series of releases, and has managed to knock out three tracks for the occasion.

Recorded with White himself on guitar, Haynes offered up original tracks ‘You Don’t Have to be Smart’ and ‘Horse Named George’ and extended some love to New Jersey hardcore jokers Adrenaline OD with a cover of ‘Paul’s Not Home’.

Most interestingly though a small number of the 7″s will be pressed, inexplicably, to old medical X-Rays, in one of the best marketing moves we can remember. Sadly these special pressings will only be available from the Third Man Records’ store at South By Southwest next month, but if you fancy the regular old black vinyl then you’ll be able to grab it on February 14.
