Modeselektor, as ever, are having a busy time of it. 

Later this year, the German duo will club up with Apparat for a second Moderat full-length. Their 50Weapons imprint, meanwhile, has been firing on all cylinders, lining up releases from Cosmin TRG, Bambounou and Benjamin Damage. For those curious about the pair’s day-to-day business, help is at hand: Modeselektor are to be profiled in a new feature-length documentary, We Are Modeselektor.

The 72 minute film arrives courtesy of filmmakers Holger Wick and Romi Agel, and promises “a post-German reunification movie, a travel report, and a portrait of the special friendship between Gernot Bronsert and Sebastian Szary all in one”. Apparat and Ellen Allien are among the talking heads recruited for the film. A trailer is below, and shows the pair performing live, tinkering with gongs in the studio and bombing in hotel pools.

The film will see release on May 3 on DVD. A host of public screening have been announced across Europe, including a broadcast at the pair’s show at London’s Roundhouse in May – see below for dates. [via Electronic Beats]
