Owen Pallett teams up with Brian Eno for forthcoming album In Conflict

Oblique strategist joins former Final Fantasy dude.

Canadian polymath Owen Pallett has announced details of his forthcoming album In Conflict, which features veteran musical brainiac Brian Eno on synth, guitar and vocals.

Out on Domino/Secret City on May 13, the follow-up to 2010’s Heartland and Swedish Love Story EP also contains string arrangements by the Czech FILMharmonic Orchestra.

A detailed credits list appears in the album trailer alongside a two-minute teaser of a new song – watch below and check out the album artwork, which features lyrics to several of the tracks.

Pallett will be heading out on tour the same month, starting in Montreal on May 9. Before that he’ll be donning his tuxedo for this month’s Oscars ceremony to see if he wins Best Score for his work on Spike Jonze’s film Her.

Eno’s been a busy bee as ever, recently appearing on Damon Albarn’s Africa Express album, which featured collaborations between Malian musicians and the likes of Ghostpoet, Holy Other and Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. [via CoS]
