Watch a Russian police choir sing Daft Punk's 'Get Lucky' at the Sochi Olympics opening ceremony

Weirdest Olympics opening ceremony ever?

Last night the Winter Olympics in Sochi kicked off with a flashy opening ceremony featuring ballet, dancing jellyfish, a wonky Olympic ring and a performance from Russia’s most famous musical exports, fake-lesbian noughties pop duo t.A.T.u.

It was mostly amazing, or weird, or weirdly amazing, but prize for most awkward performance of the night has to go to the chirpy Russian police choir, who delivered a rendition of Daft Punk’s enormo-hit ‘Get Lucky’. The bit where they do the robot voices is priceless.

U.S. viewers can watch again on NBC, UK viewers can watch again on the BBC, or if those don’t work in your area, watch the video below.

If you haven’t already seen it, we implore you to watch Daft Punk’s Grammys medley performance with Pharrell, Nile Rodgers and Stevie Wonder, then go behind the scenes to see how they created a studio on stage. [via Wired]
