The Atlanta producer goes high-concept for his latest venture.

Distal will follow-up 2012’s hybridized Civilization with Retrograde Space Opera, an album that promises “avant-garde space ballads” and “sound design compositions” alongside his usual dancefloor concoctions.

The album will also inaugurate Anarchostar, his new label that doubles as a fully-realized “psychedelic science fiction universe.” A collaboration between the producer and noted Argentinian artist Freschore, each Anarchostar release will reveal a part of a label-long space opera set 3000 years in the future. Think Machinedrum’s Vapor City undertaking, expanded across a label.
