It’s a match made in creepy sex heaven.

We haven’t heard a lot from The Weeknd since Kiss Land (although there was that very enjoyable Jacques Greene edit of ‘What You Need’), but Abel Tesfaye has just unveiled his contribution to the forthcoming Fifty Shades of Grey adaptation.

Tesfaye’s usual subject matter obviously suits the sexually charged narrative of E. L. James’ story (though we’ve documented his “decline from tortured soul to lecherous beta male” elsewhere), and the resulting track is titled ‘Earned It’.

The film’s trailer featured a re-recorded version of ‘Crazy In Love’ by Beyoncé herself.
