The early records fromMark Kozelek pre-Sun Kil Moon band Red House Painters haven’t been available on vinyl for nearly 20 years.

Though 2014 was the breakthrough year for Kozelek, it was decades overdue. Long before Benji touched our hearts (and earned album of the year from us last December) there was Red House Painters. Now 4AD will reissue that band’s impeccable first four albums on vinyl this Record Store Day worldwide, and on April 21 in the US.

Simply titled Red House Painters, the set – pressed on bronze vinyl and limited to 1,500 copies – contains Down Colorful Hill (1992), Red House Painters (nicknamed “Rollercoaster”) (1993), Red House Painters (nicknamed “Bridge”) (1993) and Ocean Beach (1995). The last of those will be a double vinyl record which includes the 1994 EP Shock Me.

If you don’t like waking up early for Record Store Day, the set will be available for preorder on 4AD’s site. Watch a trailer below.
