Legowelt crafts free Clapernicus clap synthesizer on Ableton 9 for all your clapping needs

Legowelt’s Clapernicus synth allows you to tweak the “slap”, “wallop”, and er, “sogginess” of your synth claps.

Aside from being a music tech shaman, Dutch producer Legowelt is also just a near endless source of entertainment. Whether he’s soundtracking old Microsoft recruitment videos or filming his hilarious and bizarre web series, check in on the guy and you will not be disappointed.

Legowelt’s latest project has lead to the creation of Clapernicus, a clap synth for Ableton 9. Aside from giving you all the clap sounds you could want, it comes with a series of effects that show off its creator’s sense of humor – you can manipulate how “soggy” the claps sound, or bump up “The Prince Factor” for some “nasty funk spiciness.”

Check it out on Legowelt’s site, where you can also hear a short sample.
