The reality franchise is heading to the party capital of the world.

MTV International has given the green light to an Ibiza-set version of its popular scripted reality show, Jersey Shore.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, Ibiza Shore will feature participants from Spain’s Gandia Shore (pictured above) and Mexico’s Acapulco Shore, as well as “additional surprise arrivals from Italy and Brazil”.

“Everyone knows Ibiza is one of the party capitals of the world, so we can’t wait to see what happens with this unique mix of characters, personalities and cultures,” said Viacom’s Tiago Worcman.

Unfortunately there’s no confirmation of anyone from the objectively superior Geordie Shore appearing as yet, which seems like a bit of a missed opportunity to us. Hopefully we’ll at least get a guest appearance from Pete Tong to make up for it.

The ‘Shores’ franchise isn’t the only TV show tipping its hat to the White Isle’s status in 2015. Earlier this year the BBC announced an Ibiza edition of quiz show Mastermind. [via Mixmag]
