Soul Jazz will release a new 2016 edition of the New York Noise LP – Dance Music from the New York Underground 1977-1982 – on March 12.

Chronicling a fertile five-year period in New York’s underground music history, the reissue focuses on the city’s erstwhile post-punk/no wave/punk funk scene, as spearheaded by the likes of Arthur Russell/Dinosaur L, Konk, Bush Tetras, Lizzy Mercier Descloux and Theoretical Girls.

The tracklist differs from the 2003 New York Noise edition in that it also features new offerings by Alan Vega, Chain Gang and Implog.
