Another preview of Pantha Du Prince’s new album The Triad.

Pantha Du Prince (né Hendrik Weber) will release The Triad, his first solo album in six years, this Friday May 20 and has shared ‘In An Open Space’ in anticipation. While snippets from the album were previewed via soundboard, this is the first full track that’s be unveiled in full since ‘The Winter Hymn’ in February.

The clip features Weber and his collaborators Scott Mou of Queens and Bell Laboratory’s Bendik Hovik Kjeldsberg reprising their silver masks from the ‘Hymn’ video.

Of the clip, Mou says: “It was important for us this time to show more of how we interact with each other. The cameraman [Cedric Retzmann] did a great job of shooting the planned scenes as well as capturing us candidly when we weren’t looking/‘acting.’ He showed us as we are with each other: basically that we know and like each other! We wanted to interact with each other and the space in a more natural way and he did a great job of making that happen.”

FACT is hosting Pantha Du Prince on June 3 at Camden’s re-opening of Jazz Café. Grab your tickets here.
