The five-day conference will also feature exhibitions, pop-up stores and film screenings.
Following last year’s pilot, Amsterdam Dance Event’s dedicated hip-hop, beats and bass spin-off ADE Beats returns with Hudson Mohawke and Om’mas Keith among this year’s speakers.
Mohawke will take part in a Q&A about his career and longstanding link with scenes in The Netherlands, Glasgow and the many international artists he has collaborated with. Frank Ocean producer Om’mas Keith (Frank Ocean) will talk about the LA scene in an interactive discussion.
Other speakers heading to Melkweg in October include Dutch MCs Sevn Alias. The conference also offers a varied daytime program called ADE Playground, which includes exhibitions, in-store promotions, pop-up stores and film screenings located all over the city centre.
ADE Beats takes place from October 19-23, at the same time as 2016’s Amsterdam Dance Event, which has already lined up Craig David and Marcel Dettman, among other names. Tickets for ADE Beats are available from its website.
