Wayne also takes shots at Birdman in new single.

Lil Wayne has released ‘Grateful’, a new single produced by StreetRunner and Rugah Ruh, which comes a week after he told the internet he might retire.

The new song, which is available exclusively via Tidal, includes lyrics about his soured relationship with Cash Money and label boss Birdman, “They can’t put no more Weezy Baby out, that’s that Cash Money vasectomy.”

Last Saturday, Wayne tweeted that he was “defenseless and mentally defeated” and that he might be done.

Many sent Wayne their support following the comments, including Chance The Rapper, Missy Elliott, and Flying Lotus. Drake took to Instagram to say “I know you gave me a shot and all I can ever do with the rest of my life is return the favor” and Kendrick Lamar added his own two cents via a video in which he rapped along to a medley of Lil Wayne songs and told the rapper, “talking about retiring and shit. Fuck that.”
