Plus, hear new music from Reznor and Atticus Ross.

Earlier this year, Trent Reznor debunked a Reddit rumor that new Nine Inch Nails music would be coming in September. But now, in an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, he’s revealed that he is, in fact, working on new NIN tunes.

“Things are going good, and when we have something that we think is excellent we will unleash it upon the world,” he told Lowe.

Reznor was joined on the show with frequent collaborator Atticus Ross. Their work on Leonardo DiCaprio’s National Geographic documentary on climate change Before the Flood will be released tomorrow and you can preview some of their music in the interview. The soundtrack also features Mogwai.

Reznor and Ross have been tapped to do the music for the Boston Marathon bombing film Patriots Day, which will be released on December 21.
