The former Slint guitarist will release his latest solo work next month.

Dave Pajo, aka Papa M, is gearing up to release his album Highway Songs and has shared a video for ‘Bloom’, the second offering of material from the record. The Kansas Bowling-directed clip features Pajo in a wheelchair – he is still recovering from serve injuries he incurred from a motorcycle accident – being showered in flower petals.

Th album is his first solo release since 2001’s Whatever Mortal and has been described as “classic Pajolian magma simmering to a crispy boil in a series of 21st century blues, broke folk, ur-metal and verité diary sketches made somewhere between the mental ward and the intensive care unit.”

Highway Songs is out November 11 via Drag City.
