Played a slew of her favorite Prince songs and told some of her favorite stories about the late icon.

St. Vincent aired a special Prince tribute episode as part of her Beats 1 show Mixtape Delivery Service last night (February 14).

To celebrate Prince’s arrival on non-Tidal streaming services, which includes Apple Music, Annie Clark took the chance to spin some of her favorite Prince songs, with ‘Sometimes It Snows in April’ ‘Erotic City’ and ‘Joy in Repetition’ among her choices. Elton John also popped in briefly to request a song.

During the episode, Clark also recalled the time Prince attended one of her shows in 2014. She explains how she asked her manager not to not tell her beforehand if he had turned up, but felt “the air change” as soon as the late icon was in the building. “I spent the entire show so incredibly nervous that Prince was there but he didn’t leave – he stayed until the encore,” she says.

Clark is among the artists who have spoken out against Beyoncé’s Grammys snub, accusing the Grammys of racism for awarding Lemonade best urban contemporary album over the best album prize.
