Kraftwerk’s acclaimed 3-D concert shows are the focus of a new multi-format release from the band titled Kraftwerk 3-D The Catalogue.
Released on May 26, the audio/video documentary captures Kraftwerk’s live performances in some of the world’s leading contemporary art galleries and museums, filmed across 2012 and 2016.
The project will arrive in a number of formats – DVD, CD, vinyl and digital. The deluxe vinyl box set will feature eight classic Kraftwerk albums in chronological order – Autobahn (1974), Radio-Activity (1975), Trans Europe Express (1977), The Man-Machine (1978), Computer World (1981), Techno Pop (1986), The Mix (1991) and Tour De France (2003).
The deluxe Blu-Ray edition consists of four discs and a 236-page hardback art book containing computer generated images from the 3-D multi-media performances, alongside a selection of unseen photos. Watch a trailer for the project.
Kraftwerk 3-D The Catalogue is being released to coincide with the band’s forthcoming tour, which includes their first UK dates since 2013 and a performance at Portugal’s Neo Pop festival in August.
