Last year saw Butterz, one of grime’s premier labels, switch to a six-man operation. 

Started by DJs Elijah and Skilliam, the label is now also run by Terror Danjah, Royal-T, Swindle and Dane Bradshaw. We caught up with four of the men in charge for a bowling game at Finsbury Park’s Rowan’s Leisure Complex, and talked about how the label has changed in its lifespan, staying focused as DJs in the face of endless eclecticism, and the latest installment of their ultra-popular Cable parties. Apologies for the slight sound issues, but you know – it is a bowling alley.
