A new single provides a brighter look at the work of Liz Harris.

Last year, Liz Harris broke all of our hearts with Ruins, her crushing new album as Grouper. Now, she’s following that by refocusing on Helen, her fuzz-pop project with Jed Bindeman of Eternal Tapestry and Scott Simmon.

After announcing their debut album with the single ‘Motorcycle’, the band have released a new one today titled ‘Violet’. It’s a charged, shimmery piece of music that puts Harris’ ghostly voice in an exciting new environment. You can hear it below and grab their debut, The Original Faces, September 4 via Kranky.
