One of autumn’s best festival picks.
Simple Things has unveiled the final list of names for its 2016 line-up, with Squarepusher, Kano and Charlotte Church joining previously announced headliners Nina Kraviz, Death Grips, Ben UFO and more.
Squarepusher will be bringing his brand new live project, Shobaleader One, to the Bristol multi-venue festival while Charlotte Church’s Late Night Pop Dungeon will serve up a set of “alternative classics” as interpreted by Church and her band.
Other additions to the bill also include psych crusaders Flamingods, Texan multi-instumentalist Bayonne, the Flying Lotus-approved producer Iglooghost, Dutch composer Klangstof, pop newcomers Plastic Mermaids, Berlin-based producer Gramrcy and SPE:C label-boss Darwin.
Among the DJs already announced are Helena Hauff, Minimal Wave’s Veronica Vasicka, recent FACT mix artist Courtesy, Karen Gwyer, Mike Servito and more. There’s also a Teklife party with the likes of Spinn, Traxman, Jackie Dagger and Feloneezy and a UK funky session from Marcus Nasty and Crazy Cousinz.
The festival takes place at Bristol’s Colston Hall, Bristol O2 Academy, Lakota and other venues on October 22, with a closing show from John Carpenter on October 23.
Tickets are available from the Simple Things website.
