This is the first time any of these tracks will be available on vinyl.

2MR – the label helmed by former Italians Do It Better co-founder Mike Simonetti and Captured Tracks’ boss Mike Sniper – is set to round up some of the very best tracks from Atlanta cassette label, Harsh Riddims, for a vinyl compilation.

It’s based on two of Harsh Riddims’ own compilations – Vol. 1 from 2013 and a second volume that came out this year. The label’s first release was a compilation tape “featuring some of my best friends,” says label owner Ryan Parks. Among these were Stefan Ringer (REKchampa), Drew Briggs (Divine Interface), and Matt Weiner (TWINS).

This fortchoming compilation features contributions from Montreal-born, Vancouver-based artist RAMZi and Texan noise producer B L A C K I E, who has swapped his usual abrasive scree for a slowed-down, Screwed Up Click-ready jam. It also includes a track from Cringe Machine – Parks’ late friend Justin Bauman who recently passed away. “He was a big influence on me, and was overall a really sweet and giving person,” writes Parks.

Harsh Riddims 2013-2016 is due out on November 4 but available to pre-order now. Both labels will celebrate the release with parties in NYC and Atlanta on October 29.
