Sub Pop to open record store in airport

“Work here (sorta).”

Good news for music fans in the Pacific Northwest: indie powerhouse Sub Pop Records is set to open a record store at the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.

Set to open in the spring, the company is looking for a “self-motivating Retail Store Manager” with “knowledge of the Sub Pop catalog, Pacific Northwest music, the Seattle music community, and the city of Seattle.” The store will have “unusually long hours,” from 6am to 10pm, 365 days a year.

For more information, head to Sub Pop’s job posting. The label celebrated its Silver Jubilee last year and has already released albums by Mogwai and Dum Dum Girls this year. [via RS]
